While tasting the Personify, I wrote “wow” and “really, wow.” This wine hits a chord with its perfume-worthy tart blackberry, lavender and powdery talc aromas. The Personify also has the rare combination of super-brisk acidity and sturdy tannins, which comes in handy when it comes to balancing the wine's concentrated blackberry and black tea flavors. The finish is both delicious and lasting, showcasing a perfect balance of fruit and earthiness. With only 180 cases produced, this wine offers incredible value for its price.

This wine's label features an ominous shadow figure that looks like something Rob Zombie would dream up. That aside, the wine is delicious. Fresh raspberry, butterscotch and espresso aromas tempt you, while the wine's red cherry and grilled pork flavors, supported by firm tannins, render you powerless to resist.

Made with grapes picked from 40+ year old, own-rooted vines, this pinot offers an aromatic combination of wildflowers and loam, with blackberry tea and lemon aromas hovering nearby. Nice acidity dovetails with a tart raspberry flavor, with additional notes of shitake mushrooms and almonds. The tannins provide some leather for the texture.

A focused and layered pinot with dried lavender, cherries, watermelon rind, cocoa powder and rosemary stems on the nose. Balanced, with a medium body, fine-grained tannins and dusty minerality coming through. Drink or hold.

Only two barrels of this wine were made with biodynamically farmed fruit from Momtazi Vineyard. The wine's aromas are savory roasted cherries coated with bittersweet dark chocolate. Sturdy tannins rough up the texture while riding herd over copious amounts of Bing cherries and orange segments.
